Add Something or Leave It
« on: April 07, 2016, 10:25:03 AM »
This is my line up right now

-Brunswick Nirvana OOB
-DV8 Thug Corrupt Polished
-Mastermind Scholar OOB
-Brute Strength OOB
-LT 48 OOB
-Tropical Breeze
-Spare Ball

I haven't redrilled the LT-48 yet as I got it for nothing, does it work in that lineup or should i put something else within the arsenal. Playing Sport Shot on synthetics, medium house shot on wood

I'd say that's a pretty good mix of equipment

only thing that you really could add is a step down below the Nirvana solid coverstock.  LT-48 is, but is a fairly weaker ball.  I could see a Melee Hook, Ridiculous Asym covering that spot

I was thinking adding something else with surface, but if the conditions dictate polish then that's a pretty solid lineup. The Brute Strength could easily be hit with 2000 or whatever you want too if needed.

Are you talking in terms of strength of equipment or that I should add a Solid coverstock?

Based on the above list the covers are
Solid
Hybrid
Pearl
Hybrid
Solid
Pearl (I think)
Plastic

If you're thinking strength of equipment I would think a thug corrupt would be a great step down based on suface. My concerns would be whether I need to add a symetrical ball or add something between the Brute Strength and LT-48

If you want to go all Brunswick/DV8/Radical, you could consider swapping out the Tropical Breeze for one of the new Rhinos when they come out. I wouldn't blame you if you didn't though. As much as I LOVE all of my Brunswick-family gear, my Tropical Breeze is still a gem for me as a house-shot spare ball or for going straight! Overall, I think you have some nice coverage in that assortment.

If you add something just for the sake of adding something, you will probably be making a mistake.  Attend demo days to see if something really speaks to you.  Otherwise, leave it until something quits and you really need to fill a hole.
