I noticed on WRW's Facebook page he mentioned that he used the Brunswick Scholar during his first two games of first-round action at the Touring Players Championship. The oil volume was lighter than expected for the Mark Roth pattern (46 feet) -- he played 7-8 boards.
Then the lanes began transitioning in the third game. He noted things usually didn't favor well for him when he played left of the third arrow, so he went with his plastic ball and played 5-6 boards. He went on to average 243 and he's in fourth place.
So I'm wondering if the Scholar is a pearl since he went immediately to the T-Zone in game three. Any confirmation?
