Title: mastermind surface change
Post by: lilpossum1 on January 06, 2014, 10:07:09 AM
So apparently the surface OOB is way too much. I need to tame it down. What surfaces have other people had success with on this ball?

3000 for me.  I made a small move outside afterwards and haven't had any trouble.  It seems to be a better match for the conditions I usually see.

I too have mine at 3000 abralon and it still hits like a tank. The only problem I saw with the ball was that it tended to tone down its reaction because it would shine up pretty quickly. Of course I would have to constantly resurface it to keep the strong reaction at 3000 although I may bring it down to 800 with a nice coat of Snake Oil and see how that will work so I don't have to resurface it as much.

I put polish on top of the box surface on one of mine and it is still plenty strong just goes a tad longer with a little less hook.

My goal is for it to not burn up like it does so frequently.
