Without knowing your game, I can really only give a general answer of what has worked in the past. It also REALLY comes down to what lane surface you bowl on, it can make one pattern not look like the other. Also, take into account that the Regional patterns will be changing this coming month, and not be shared with the National tour.
Onward.
Viper - Strong pearls up the outside, had most success with the Original Inferno pin down when they are fresh, and a pin up Classic Zone when they break down. Backends are usually strong early, so a Particle ball with a long pin to PAP distance works there.
Shark -
LOL Still figuring this one out. Speed control and creating friction has been something I'm working on. Shot tends to ALWAYS play inside, and then VERY DEEP inside.
Scorpion - Shot *usually* plays inside and fairly tight, stuff that is clean through the fronts and sets up tends to work best. Have to find the right combo between skid and friction, for me it was a shined up, pin up Zone Classic. I think at the last tournament, I would have been better off with a Punisher as the insides went dry as the days progressed.
Chameleon - Plays similar to A pattern, but a softer hand is needed. Crossing boards is usually a no-no. This pattern played deep inside at Castaways, but up the boards in Rohnert Park. Having the ball read is key.
Cheetah - I've had success using a lot of different equipment. Raging Inferno has been my favorite, Urethane, Inferno, Classic Zones. Shot plays straighter most of time, usually moving in towards the end of the block. Grip it and rip it baby!
