Would the Melee Hook compliment a Columbia 300 Nitrous, for a 2 hander, rolling on THP?

It should give you a more consistent read of the mid-lane and smooth finish versus the shiny Nitrous, that is longer and more angular (if I'm not mistaken).  The Melee Hook should handle more oil, too.
