Randy O's, Warp Zone Post...

Yo Randy,
That was an excellent post you made, regarding your choice of the Warp Zone. It may not have been the best ball review ever made, but it definitely was inciteful as regards to ball choices, and ruminations made in deciding how to attack a particular condition. I appreciate all the extra info you provided, leading up to your choice of that particular ball, as well as the info you provided regarding the kinds of leaves you had after certain deliveries. Good stuff, man. Thanks a lot.

It may have not been the most technical but it was one of the best reviews I've ever read on this site, besides it being a million times longer than the normal crud typed, it contained a ton of info on what you can and can't do with the ball.

With all his release/speed changes and ball/line changes I felt like I was standing there next to him listening to his every move when trying out the Warp Zone.

Again Randy it was a great review.

reading those reviews really do give you an idea on what the warp zone can do with the proper surface tweaks.  the more stuff I read about brunswick balls the more I can't decide what ball to get.  Oh yeah, looking at those ball pics, Randy has some big ole hands.

For the first Warp Zone review which was focused on what I call Warp Zone #2, the only real carry issues were when I would either rotate a bit early or miss to the right. Most particle balls that break late or have to come back too far will usually result in a weak 10 or even a 7-10, ESPCIALLY in my home center. This Warp Zone did leave an occasional flat 10 when I made the above mistakes. I also left a couple of 4 pins after rotating too soon, although I did trip some 4's too. Although the particles mellow it out, it still has the the Time Zone core and is capable of some impressive entry angles given the right condition and release.
The second review was centered around Warp Zone #1 on the sport condition. I left those pocket splits because of poor shots - a bit of 'chicken-winging', and combined with too much speed for the condition - not a formula for success. All 6 games during that event the carry was excellent as long as I stayed behind the ball long enough and kept the speed consistent. I did leave a stone-9 once on a perfect release - AND IT WAS IN THE 9TH FRAME WHEN I HAD A CHANCE TO SAVE A CRAPPY GAME AND I WAS REALLY PISSED - but who cares
One thing I like to do in a review is to throw another ball or two and report on the difference - that gives people some idea of the difference, and might also aid in understanding the lane condition.
