Punisher fills the same gap as the ScreamR, and in time between them the Frenzy. Frenzy had same coverstock, different, stronger core, Punisher has a new generation coverstock which is also used on MoRich's Sahara and some international balls like the Master Zone (Korea release, I think, hourglass core from Control Zone).
If your friend wants to stick with Big B, the Punisher will be the ticket, but the core is stronger (more RG Diff.) and probably "snappier" than the old ScreamR.
Another option to consider is a pearl recative Power Groove. Even though it is just an entry level ball, the PK17 kicks butt and it is a little more arcing than the Punisher on comparable conditions. But these are pretty strong balls, underrated, and cheap, too.
