Monster Slayr?
« on: January 28, 2006, 12:17:38 AM »
Hi

How well would a Monster Slayr work for me on medium-light patterns? What drilling on the Brunswick site would be ideal?

My stats are in my profile.

Thanks

Andrew

I had one, and had no luck with it. IMO, there would be a better choice instead of the SlayR. You could tweak a Smokin' Inferno, or a Blazing Inferno and that would work out well. Just my .2

Thanks for the replies. I just practised with my new Rampage today and it seemed very strong. It could have been that the lanes were really dry since I wasn't bowling in a league, but it did suprise me how strong it was.

I think part of the problem is the proshop drilling it different to how we discussed. The day before it was drilled we said 4L, but it ended up being drilled different and to be honest I can't say how.

The reason I thought about the Slayr was to go quite weak, which would leave room for me to develop my release into something stronger. I guess I'll just see how the Rampage goes in the coming weeks.

I just don't think the SlayR is as good as it was supposed to be. But, that's my experience. The Inferno line is a great way to go.

Well, I have a 15 and I had a weight hole taken out of it. I also had it sanded to 800 grit and have the pin right next to the ring finger( righty ). It hooks, but you can throw a marshmallow at the pins and they would hit harder.
