Title: my first 800
Post by: TheFreeAgent on October 17, 2009, 06:32:51 PM
Tonight i went to my worst house that I struggle most at. My previous high series there was 630. So Im home from school on midterm break, nd a buddy calls and asks if i want to jackpot bowl at an old woodlane house, so i said sure. During practice i was lost so I tried playing straight up. Picked off the ten pin, this house has the biigest moving backends EVER. so first game i go brooklyn and carry a strike, second frame 9/ then stike until the second in the tenth leave a stone 7 and miss it for 268, win high game. Second game i dont remember exactly but i shoot 279 beat the guy who invited me by 1. thrid game i open in the 5th and shot 254 for an 801 i didnt even realize i had the chance i was just trying to win money. And the kicker to the whole story, I was using a old urathane that doesnt have a name on it just the big brunswick B. My shop manager said the owners bought a bunch of them before the LT48 came out. sorry for the FIGJAM (i dont even know what FIGJAM means haha) but i never thought i would shoot an 800 series and definately not in that house.

Great bowling and congratulations!

FIGJAM (or better F.I.G.J.A.M.) is an acronym for

(F)**k (I)'m (G)ood (J)ust (A)sk (M)e

I don't know what ball it could've been either. I don't think there WERE any urethanes before the LT-48. Doesn't matter anyhow. Whatever it was, you obviously matched up and carried great!
