Well, I had a terrible experience with the Smokin last year, and haven't thrown another Big B ball since. It just didn't do what it was advertised to, which they later changed. So I picked up a used Absolute, and threw it for the first time in leagues last night. Usually I like to get some practice in with a new ball before bringing it out, but last night said what the heck. Overall, I was very pleased with the reaction I was getting out of it. It has a nice, heavy roll and a strong backend reaction, maybe not quite a flip, but a hard, driving arc. One thing I liked about the ball is I have a tendency to throw it pretty hard, and I could NOT throw it through the break point. No matter what, it was coming back. I had great success playing an outside line with the ball. When I tried to play it from deeper, though, I didn't have nearly as much success. I couldn't quite seem to get it to turn the corner well from a deeper line. However, I often have that kind of problem when trying to play deeper, as I am speed dominant and really have to watch my speed to get anything to really turn the corner from inside. At this point, though, I'm very happy with the ball and look forward to throwing it some more.
How do you use your Absolute, and what kind of cover prep do you prefer? OOB? Different grit? How does it react with a little polish?

If you aren't watching 'The Wire,' the government should be forced to come to your house and repossess your television. END OF STORY!Mr. Lebowski, this is Bill Salnicker with the Southern Cal Bowling League, and I just got a, an informal report, that a member of your team, uh, Walter Sobchak, drew a firearm during league play. If this is true of course, it contravenes a number of the league's by-laws, and article 27 of the league...BOB: Did you see the way she was lookin' at me?
DOUG: Yeah, because she thought you were some kind of freak!
