Well, if the ball was polished before you scuffed it up, and you liked its reaction that way, then I'd polish it back up. If it wasn't polished, then I'd leave it dull.
On the other hand, if you didn't like the reaction you had before, then you would leave it dull if it used to go too long, or polish it up if it used to hook too early.
Doesn't that seem like the logical way to proceed?
