mystic aura
« on: November 23, 2013, 04:41:24 PM »
Drilled a new Mystic Aura.  Love the way it moves, but I am having continuation and carry problems. Already put sizeable weight hole in it in stronger position, where Brunswick recommends.  It is in box finish.  Wonder if I I can change the cover, was recommended at 2000.  I believe it needs a touch more midlane.  Any suggestions?

Thanks

The Brunswick covers take adjustments well.  The OOB finish is 500 Siaair + Rough Buff finish.  If you want it to read sooner, you could always do something such as 500/2000, 500/3000 or 500/4000 and skip the Rough Buff.  All of these would not be true 2000/3000/4000 grit finishes, but it will give the ball more surface and cause it to read sooner.

Hit it with 2000 before I bowled this weekend in a tournament.  Seemed like it carried a little better.  Does not seem to move the pins around like my  Brawler and Beatdown do.  Might just be me.  I did however shoot a 722 with it.  Wide open house condition in a house that seems to score and carry better than most.  Will give it one more try in my bowling center this week.
