need a ball suggestion
« on: October 16, 2005, 07:04:28 AM »
i need a ball for fresh medium conditions! I have been using a zone classic midway through the second game and the third game with great success but my first game is killing me. In the first game i can use my absolute but it is over/ under reacting. If i move left i can't carry the ten. This is my typical series from last night --- 175-246-268. WTF! Any suggestions would be welcome.

I'm far from an expert so maybe my opinion shouldn't be counted! Maybe the Impulse Zone would be an option?

There could simple be too much oil on the fresh lane for the AI, which is a very good ball. But it is not an oil ball. If you need more, I'd also suggest the UI, a SZ or an IZ, depending on your preferrence of coverstocks and cores. Probably the SZ with the same drilling as your ZC will yield the reaction that you are looking for on a fresh shot.

i went over my absolute inferno with a green scotch brite pad (600 grit), and it handles med/heavy oil easily with a strong arc to finish, not over/under.
rough buff finish was NOT used.

i personally think it reacts and hits harder than OOB condition.
but it definately needs oil to stay happy.
