Got my first Inferno's today...
« on: September 13, 2006, 01:38:13 PM »
I've been throwing MoRich here recently and really fell in love with the Activator Covers on the Flip and Shock and Awe... So, I decided to pony up for a few of the Inferno line balls that keep getting all the hype.

I picked up a Scorchin, an Absolute, and a Smokin, and gave them some tosses today... HOLY. FREAKIN. GOD.

Shot was a modified house pattern, pretty heavy in the middle, but flatter outside than usual due to a tournament coming up....

Anyhoo, started with the Scorchin, 279-226-268

Threw a couple games to work out some fitting issues, then went to the Absolute, 242-257-215.

Ended with the Smokin, 222-198-268.

These pieces all complimented eachother so well at first impression, but I need to throw them on a tougher shot to get a true feel for them.

The Scorchin definitely matched up with the lanes better than the other two, and I had to move right and put the ball pretty direct for the Smokin, but I got an idea nonetheless.

Overall, HOLY MOTHER OF GOD!!!!! Brunswick is putting out some KILLER equipment here. Can't wait to get my hands on some more.

Yeah, I too am torn between Mrich and Brunswick, currently opting for a little bit of each.

My son picked up an AI yesterday. Said he hated Brunswick, but the PRO-Shop went out and watched how he bowled and said that the AI would be perfect for him. Has not had a chance to throw it yet, but I did a couple of games to see what it would do and WOW did it snap and hit really hard. Luckily his span is really close to mine, except his thumb is a little small, so I did not put my thumb all the way in. Felt weird, but it really worked good for me with it not fitting. Can not wait to see what he is going to do with it.
