« on: February 24, 2010, 04:02:19 AM »
has anyone here rico'd a c-system 3.5? i have one and this is how i plan on drilling it but figured id get some input. also how does in compare to the 2.5 for you? I have a 2.5 drilled 4.5 from pap which puts the pin in the ring finger.

It's noticeably stronger than the 2.5.

I would suggest going pin above the fingers for this one (4.5" to 5.5" from PAP), and save the rico layout for a different ball. Just my .02. Good luck.

Then don''t get a 3.5. Listen to notclay. Beleive heknows what he''s talking about.

Try an Evil Seige - great ball for medium to medium-heavy with a normal drill.

i havent personally thrown one but i seen alot of college players thow it. the 3.5 is an absolute demon. longer, stronger and stronger overall than the 2.5. much more angular and harder off the spot. the 2.5 would be a better choice for a variety of shots but the 3.5 would be better as a strong pearl for games like 4 and 5 when you need to move way in.

footerson,

The rico will make it stronger and smoother for many bowlers. Mine seems to be too strong for typical house shots and my game, but the rico may work for the tougher patterns. You decide.

Do I think the ball needs a rico for the tougher patterns? Not really. Adding some surface should do the trick, then you can always tweak it back if needed, but once it's drilled, it's drilled.

By the way, thanks Jeff.
