Need to fill a gap
« on: April 14, 2014, 10:02:53 AM »
Hi all, im looking for a ball to go between my Dude and Mastermind Genius. I know theres a good sized gap there so im sure theres alot of options. Im a med revs, 15-16mph tweener. Id like something from Bruns, DV8 or Radical. Thanks for any input.

I really like how the Grease Monkey and Untamed look but didnt realize the Grease Monkey would be stronger than the Dude?

The Grease Monkey will have a stronger motion down lane, i.e. more of a skid / flip reaction.

I don't know how your current stuff is drilled or at what surfaces they are at, but what I can tell you is that the Diva is the safest ball in my bag.  No matter what house or what condition I see, I know that at some point the lanes will be suitable for this ball to see some playtime.  It is average in length with nice arc in the backend that will serve well as the benchmark ball in almost every bowler's bag.

Im softer speed (15 mph) and lower track, current pap is 4 3/8 and 7/8. I dont like polish on my stuff so most is at 2000 or 4000 abralon to smooth it out. My driller gets longer pins and does pin up drillings, some over the middle finger like my Strike King and some over the ring finger. I've heard nothing but good things about the Diva so I guess that would have to be an option at this point. Wife has the Diva Pearl and loves it but hated the original Diva, just didnt match up to it well.

I would say the Diva would be a good option.  Other good options would be the Melee with a stronger drill, the Yeti Untamed, or the Diva Pearl.

Thanks for the suggestions so far. Im leaning towards the Untamed or Diva. I'll talk to my driller in the next week or so and get his input and have him order it up for me.
