Since both of these balls are using the same cover stock, how do the cores compare to each other? In other words, with a similar cover stock surface prep and similar type of drill, how would the reactions of these balls compare? Is the core of the BVP's more skid/snappy than the DZ's? I loved my DZ but it did roll too early on occasion (drilled stacked leverage probably caused that).

You already answered your own question, i have both drilled close and the bvp is more snappy and is stronger in more oil in my case. My rev gear pro(danger Zone) is polished out of the box and is better for mediums, it is a very arch ball were the nemesis like to rev and snap.
