New 15# Strike Zone up for grabs
« on: February 22, 2006, 11:53:53 PM »

For sale. 15# Strike Zone. 2.75" pin 3.25 oz. TW drilled and thrown 8 shots. NOT 8 GAMES!! 8 shots. It doesnt fit my style and I don't want to plug it. The span is 4 5/8 x 4 3/4 - thumb is 1/8 reverse with 1/4 right lateral. The fingers are 1/8 forward. Pic below of the layout. Remember, this ball is brand new. I'll take the best serious offeres. I will remove grips but the thumb slug will stay. Please make serious offers. I have about 140.00 into this ball with shipping and slug.

Here is a pic of the ball and layout:  http://webpages.charter.net/gat/Bowling/Zone1.jpg

if I did buy it I would want to make sure the pink insert is at least removed.  just kidding looks like a real nice ball.

I don't think that span is huge. In fact i have short stubby fingers. And to the answer the questions, YES!!!!!! I will include an unopened box of swiss rolls for the right price, and I will remove the grips unless they fit someone. I just dont want to plug and redrill. The ball doesnt fit my game and match the lanes, or whatever. I just want to get some money back. And I am serious. This ball made 8 trips down the lane.

Why would you get rid of a ball after 8 trips down the lane?
That is absurd.  People never fail to amaze me.  Must have a
lot of money or lack of bowling knowledge.

I made the mistake of researching the ball using Brunswick's website. Supposed to be a very strong oiler. Maybe so, for someone. Doesnt fit my game. I would rather get rid of it than plug it and redrill. My mistake for thinking the big B would match my game when it hasnt in the past.

I can see that happening with a gloss finish because you slowly wear a track in. But with a scuffed finish I am afraid it will only be tamer as the wear begins.

Definately need to throw that ball a dozen games or so before it starts to get the reaction your looking for. 2 of my teamates each bought one, lanes are synthetic and conditions are med. to med/heavy oil. One guy tried to give me the ball the 2nd outing with it.. 3 weeks later he was all over his whining and quite happy actually complaining of too much hook. The other was also complaining at 1st that it wasnt the ball he expected buying it after his Ultimate died but if you ask him now he'd tell you the same thing, it took a few games to get the surface to come out and grab the lanes. Infact he shot 719 thursday night.... Maybe your not giving it a chance or maybe your just gonna give someone else a deal on a great ball....
