The Wild Ride has a stronger cover, in my opinion. The WR core seems to suit those with more "hand", but works well with other bowlers as long as you lay it out strong.
I also don''t recommend using the changeable thumbs on this one. If you use the changeable thumb inserts, then the Wild Thing (due to the more forgiving core) is a better option.
As far as overall shape I suppose the right bowler and conditions might make the 2 look somewhat alike.
