well im going to T of A in august and im wondering which bowling ball i should bring or drill before that tournament. im a lefty i throw approximately at 24kmh and i dont know my rev rate but i would say that its a lil bit more than than the average. im bringing 6 balls there..........i have

Bringing those for sure:bvp rampage
                        blast zone
                        sidewinder
                        radical inferno
i still have :ambush
              absolute inferno

i didnt try the pattern but i would say for the long one a fury and for the short one a power groove dryer or is it to weak?? well i would appreciate some help from you guys!

Be cautious in you plan on getting a brand new ball. Make sure it is approved for use first!

I would leave the ambush, take the sidewinder and look into a Fury, or Total  low pin dull.

Is your Blast Zone OOB?

ya my blast zone is oob, but what do you mean by ''make sure the ball is approved for use first''. i have nothing duller than the blast zone, and i thought that a fury 3 inches from my pap could be good for heavier oil, not too aggressive on the backend. and what would you recommend for the short pattern?? well thanks alot for you help!

Perhaps Corey is referring to the ball being approved by USBC for use. The Blast Zone, Sidewinder, and even the new Fury Pearl were all approved in June so you'd be safe.

The Fury drilled as you mentioned should be a great choice for heavier oil. For the short pattern I would suggest polishing the poop out of the Rampage so it will get down the lane way long before it turns, OR, taking the shine off your Sidewinder (maybe 1000 abralon) so the backend movement is more controlled.  Much depends on the amount of head oil on the short pattern as to which ball will hit and carry best.  For example, the PBA Cheetah pattern is short at 35 feet, but the first 10 feet of lane are soaked with a high concentration of oil so you get more "skid" than you'd expect at first.

Good luck in August.
