Total Inferno vs Absolute vs Horizon Solid
« on: January 13, 2008, 12:47:55 AM »
For those who have thrown at least 2 of these three...

My Absolute Inferno is a good medium ball, but won't wrinkle on the heavy shot in our league currently. I'm looking to supplant it with a low Rg symetric core. Would appreciate OBJECTIVE relative strength and condition comments from those who have also thrown TI or Horizon Solid for comparison.
Thanks

The Total's cover is stronger than the Absolute's so you should see earlier mid-lane read.  The Gription additive is similar to a particle additive, just different than what Brunswick had used to that point so it wasn't marketed as a true particle ball.  Super low RG core revs up instantly.

Left dull it can handle plenty of oil, but shiny is better for playing closer to the friction.

Although I have not personally thrown the Horizon solid, but our shop sold enough of them that I'm confident that it would probably fit between the Total and Absolute... Not quite as strong (early) as the Total, but slightly earlier than the Absolute.  Maybe similar to the Absolute around 1000 - 2000 abralon would be a guess.  Hope this helps.
