Mammoth
« on: September 30, 2009, 12:54:28 AM »
Ok. So Saturday night i decided to soak my bowling balls to get the oil out. well apparently they needed it because they all hook way more than i have ever seen them before. Well one ball i soaked was my BVP Mammoth and i can't seem to keep the ball on the right side of the headpin. Before i soaked it, it was very predictable and wouldn't over hook the whole lane but now it will. So can any of y'all help me? Maybe a surface change or something? Also does anyone know what other balls have the Rocket Core? After using my Mammoth i am just in love with the carry. Thanks for all the help

Wait for a couple of games, the ball should soak up a little oil and tame down again. Freshly de-oiled balls can react weird, I'd give it some time.

Rocket care was introduced with the end of the BVP line at Brunswick. Copperhead, Sidewinder, Mammoth and now the Python and Rattler use(d) it.

Are there any other cores out there that might react like this one? Also any idea what i can expect from a BVP Punisher?

Look at RG and RG differential numbers, even though the cover will have more influence on the ball's reaction.

The Punisher has a higher RG core, and it is a light to medium condition ball. Will slide easily on little oil, but is snappy when it hits the dry and drilled to do so.
