Congrat to Jacqueline Sijore from Malaysia to win the single gold medal in WWC 2011.

Jacqueline use the C System Delta Max and shoot 266 in the final match.

World Women's Championships (WWC)

Normally a World Championship is a lower scoring affair. They want to see who can execute the best. However, this one was a carry contest. It allowed lessor skilled bowlers compete with skilled bowlers. They had 6 - 300 games and a number of 290s. One lady shot back to back 800s. For a 5 person team, a so so score was anythiing below 1100. Teams were shooting 1200s. Many countries were not happy with the high scoring. From what I hear, they said the oil pattern selection was done by the Kegel Rep. I think the carry contest helped the US team as they won 4 of the 6 gold medals.

Personally, I also think the scorring was too high. Someone slipped on the oil pattern selection. I am sure they would put a fix in for future tournaments. (PS. I watched most of the tournament.)

The Denmark team looked like they were easily going to qualify for the rolloff for a medal. However in the 5th of 6 games of qualifying they shot 938. They moved to a pair of lanes where the previous teams did not play the pattern as it was designed. The shot was outside the 2nd arrow and moving in as it dried. The teams in front of the Denmark team were 3/4 arrow swinging. With 25 minutes of practice and 10 people on the pair, they moved the oil all over the place.

The top seed got to select the oil pattern that they bowled on for the finals in team event, so the US didn't get to select the oil pattern. They played on the Paris oil pattern, which is a long oil pattern! Congrats to the USA and they weren't the highest scoring and didn't have a player in the finals for the singles!

Train a child up in the way they should go and when they are old they will do some "Damn Good Bowling", be a "DV8" and not turn from it, besides bowling starts with a Big B!
