New Release due out in December
« on: September 18, 2006, 10:36:54 AM »
From my pro shop owner whos trying to form up a pro-am tournament later in the winter he wants to do a deal for the newest brunswick release. Well hes trying to see what the newest ball will be at that time, Brunswick will not say what the new ball name will be just yet. All they say is it will be a new ball in the Zone Line. I feel pretty confidant with the information I got from him as he usually keeps me up todate on all the brunswick gear. Im saving up for it now.

Just posting so those of you who are looking for a new ball this winter will have something to save up for. Just keep your eyes open.

I wouldnt be surprised to see an Impulse Zone coverstock with an older core. Only time will tell.

older as in before i was born older.. which was 16 years ago... i went to a expo with conspirator and he can vouch for me on this that larry verble said that possibly an older core will be put in with a new cover and be introduced into the zone line. the possibilities of this being true are slim to none.. but theres always that chance.. we'll just have to wait and see.

I wonder if they'll pull out a Solid version of Octane to replace the strike zone.

I highly doubt brunswick will use their brand new Octane cover on any ball of the Zone line just yet. With the new cover technology, I would not be shocked to see Activator cover stocks to start seeing their way to the zone line now. Maybe an original Zone Proactive or danger zone core with activator or activator plus??

with all the success with the red zone, could they top that ball?  I hope so.  It would be a disappointment to see a so-so ball be released with such high expectations

I don't think the Strike Zone will be replaced, most likely the Vapor Zone. However, I don't think anything will be replaced, just something added for light oil.

Look at the Radical! That ball was hyped up and it turned out to be a love/hate relationship. Not many people have liked the ball that I have seen. The few that do like it absolutely love it. 2 guys in my area have bought it and used it for a few weeks to only sell it to another bowler, the new owner used it for 2-3 weeks to sell it again! I had the chance to get both for $80 but I didnt have a job at the time. With my new job I will be getting a red zone maybe a radical inferno.

So basically a ball to replace the Zone Classic since it has been discontinued.

New Inferno!!!
hehe, j/k radical too new.
But here are some REAL suggestions for the future(no towering inferno or disco inferno).

Smoldering Inferno- Something For the Drier lanes. Maybe some smokin characteristics. My smokin seemes to handle dryness better than any other inferno.

Sizzlin Inferno- Solid Octane cover, some core(?)

OutRAGING Inferno- A newer, more controllabe raging inferno. Maybe It was just me, But the raging plain out stunk. Because of it, I no longer like particles.

Inferno Re-Lit- dee dee dee, bring the OI back. . .

Real suggestions here. . .and I made them all up in algebra class today too.
--------------------
Its hard to play with an inferno and not get burned. Last time I threw my inferno, the opposing bowler definitely got burned.

Since I only throw Infernos, just call me the Flamethrower.

No point in discontinuing the Vapor Zone yet, the pro shop I got this new ball information at is still selling 3-5 vapor zones a week yet. The Vapor Zone for brunswick is like Ebonites The One! I have 2 right now and I want to buy 1 more undrilled for future use or possibly hold on to for value assets In 2-3 years when they are discontinued people will want to find 1 with 1 drilling or NIB.

You do make a point that I over looked! Look at the Vapor Zone, Absolute Inferno Cover Stock. My fault for overlooking that fact. I do think its time the zone line has another Particle cover in the line up since the Impulse Zone was discontinued a while back. Retro Zone?!

Well, if they want to use an older core and put it in the Zone line they better do what they did to the Danger Zone core and make it asymmetrical somehow.

If they don't, they risk disappointing many loyal Big B bowlers.  Though, I will admit that a lot of us have wanted to see the Activator coverstocks used on a non-Inferno symmetrical core.
