I have both the solid and pearl. Both are really great balls. Hard to go against the core/cover combination inspired by of one of the best selling balls of all time.

My solid is drilled 45 by 5" by 80 and has a great midlane read and smooth motion throughout the whole lane. Of course it does well on my THS but it also shines on the tough stuff. On the 2011 USBC pattern, it gave me a good read going up the lane, around 8 or so, on the fresh and then being able to swing it a little more as it broke down. It also worked well on a broken down scorpion without making me loft any guttercaps. Its definitely going with me this weekend to a regional on chameleon.

My pearl is drilled 60 by 5.5" by 50 and is obviously a little sharper off the spot. Dominates THS and holds its own on the tough stuff as well. Of course for sport/PBA shots it needs a little friction/breakdown to really be the go-to ball.

Both are very continuous and AMAZING balls for the price. Both keep making it back to the pocket no matter how deep I move. Overall, I'd have to say the pearl is only about 1-2 boards weaker than the solid but with a more defined breakpoint.

Currently, my pearl is still at OOB surface and I've given the solid a light scuff of a 4000 Siaair pad. Me no likey alot of polished stuff so I tend to use alot of 4000 grit surfaces

nice shooting nick, what kind of area did you play in reno?  Ive used similar drilling in the past but for me they were early but on the nationals shot that may not be such a bad thing

Ive got a battle zone bullet i just punched up pin under bridge cg about 45  pretty strong rolling ball, how would the stronger covered karma stack up against this ball

OOB surface here...

Used the Karma after game one in team and never used another ball the rest of the way. Was playing the track in team for a bit with a slight swing, kept chasing it in. For doubles, I started about where I finished in team, roughly 30 out to about 12-13, trying to play more of the hold than hook. If I got it out early, or got relaxed, it'd jump off the spot. I think I ended the tournament firing the ball from 37-38...

Hope that helps!

Hey Trigg, sorry to hijack this thread but I have to tell Nick how much I'm loving the Damage you gave me!  Once I got a track on the ball it really began to shine!  It doesn't have as much recovery as the Gold Rhino Pro, and it can't match that ball for carry on light hits, but I can play deeper with the Damage and the ball goes long, revs hard, and works great.  Thanks again!!!

I've got a couple of the older Lane #1 balls that used the PK18 cover..the Blueberry and the Pearl Cherry C/2, and they're both plenty strong.

I also used the throw several of the Rhino Pro's, the Purple, the Teal, and the Gold. They were amazing to throw.

The Karma's have really peaked my interest...my favorite coverstock along with the core of one of my all time favorite line of balls. I've heard that the length is really good with a fairly strong break off the dry. Is that pretty close?

The Karma's are an amazing value at the price point they are at.  I drilled the solid last week 60x5 1/2 x25 to get it down the lane with a quick response off of the dry.  The ball loves steep angles and carry is phenominal when being thrown away from the pocket.  In fact, once a really slick viper broke down and forced me to play in at the regional this weekend, the Karma was the perfect look and a big reason why I made it to day 2.  This ball clears the heads extremely easily and finishes with great continuation.  The Karma solid is not weak and is more than competitive with balls at higher price points.  It is a must have for anyone looking for easy length and recovery with angle.
