Next ball to add....
« on: December 25, 2014, 01:21:25 PM »
So I am changing from 14 to 15# equipment.  My main ball the past few years has been an old Red Fab era Hammer which is 15#.  A few weeks ago i picked up a Blue Ringer solid.  Its drilled pin up over the ring finger and is box finish.   When I picked it my thinking was soemthing with a similar motion as the Red, but stronger for  when the lanes are too oily.

So what would be another ball to add to this?  I have a #14 Mastermind and Meanstreak Beatdown and the Beatdown is better for me. The Mastermind is just too strong a ball for me to throw.  I have a high track,  more revs and about 15 mph ball speed.

Thanks for any suggestions.

The Platinum Ringer would be a great piece to add as a step down from the Blue Ringer.  The Platinum will give you length and create less friction with a quicker transition for when the Blue one is reacting too early.

I will give that a look.  Not real familiar with Brunswick stuff, mainly have used Hammer low to mid performance stuff.  Wasn't sure if staying in the same category ball or using one from each different category would be the thing to do.

The Platinum Ringer is great. If you want a stronger symmetrical pearl then the Melee Jab is awesome.

is there enough difference in the Platinum Ringer to the Blue?  Or is it better to go to a Strike King?

Ordered the Platinum and a Hammer True Blood for drier stuff.  The Blue is very good, about 6 boards stronger than the old Red Hammer urethane.  The Platinum should fit in there somewhere.
