I was expecting the Web M.B. to be a weaker asymmetric core. Not so with a .018 mass bias.

I was expecting it to be a solid rather than a pearl. And there appears to be a little bit of mica/sparkle in the Web MB as well.

I have a BW Platinum Silver and possibly may pick up a BW Platinum Blue Sparkle (both pearls), so I may pass on the Web MB, but the BW 2.0 is definitely coming in.

Anyone know why they show 2 different cores for the 12-13lb variants of each ball?

Brunswick uses a generic core shape in their 12 and 13lbs balls.  It allows them to maintain as much dynamic integrity as possible since the core in the 14-16lb balls is bigger and more dense.  The generic core is also dynamic enough to allow a driller to use any kind of layout they would use on a heavier weight ball.

While the core in the 12-13lb balls is generic, it is a really good core and one of the best in the business for 12-13lb equipment.  I am forced to used 12lb equipment due to some physical limitations, and currently average 215 using exclusively Brunswick/DV8/Radical equipment.

Good info. Thanks for this.

I brought it up not only because I'm curious about it, but my son is probably ready for a 12lb ball now, so this opens his world up to core/cover instead of just a decent cover on a pancake core, so he can explore his options now.

Also, it could be seen as a bit of deceptive advertising (not false, deceptive) because they are advertising that the BW has the Gas Mask core in it, which leads the consumer to believe that all weights have it. So unless they look at the site or the shelf talker, you wouldn't know that there's a different core in the 12lb and 13lb balls. So I can see where the consumer can get confused.
