This topic is one that is very close to my heart. On June 9, 2001 i lost my best friend, Mary Teubner to intestinal cancer. She had a long battle and unfortunatley the disease won. At that point i made the decision to dedicate my free time and somewhat my career to helping find a cure for this horrible disease. I renamed the regional that i run the Mary Teubner Memorial Open and we began raising money for charity through sponsors, 50/50 drawings, raffles, pro-ams, merchandise sales and many other entities. Over the last 4 years we've raised over $45,000.00 for charity in Mary's name ( including $5000.00 that went to the American Red Cross for Hurricane Katrina victims ).

Everything that we sell on my website, including : autographed bowling balls, autographed shirts, autographed photos and "4 the fight" bracelets generates money for the charity. 100% of all monies are donated to Cancer research centers in Marys name.

We have started a fan club called Club 300. Again, 100% of all money raised through the fan club will be going to charity. The cost of the fan club membership is $18.95 for the first year, and the renewal fee is $7.95 per year after that. There is a $6.00 shipping and handling fee within the United States. Anything oversees will have to be done on a case by case basis. Your fan club membership gets you the following:
JeffCarterbowling.com t-shirt
Club300 membership certificate
Club300 membership card
Autographed Photo
Discounts on JeffCarterbowling.com services ( including online coaching - when we get it up and running )
Discounts on JeffCarterbowling.com Arsenal Assembly ( again, when its available )
Discounts on JeffCarterbowling.com merchandise
Members will receive special recognition on our "Honor Roll"
Members will be eligible for monthly prizes ( including Storm bowling balls, bags and other items )

You can pay though PayPal on the website or you can send me a cashiers check/money order/personal check. Items will be shipped within 4-6 weeks, depending on where we are on Tour. Im asking all of you that are fans of bowling to consider helping us "Strikeout against Cancer". We can use everybodys help in finding a cure for this terrible disease, so i'm asking all of the members on this site to please take the time to sign up for Club300

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. I look forward to hearing from many of you for the first time and from all of those who i have helped through this site. If you arent able to purchase the fan club, please consider buying a bracelet or a photo. Every little bit helps in our fight

Also just a side note for those of you that dont know, we are continually making updates to our website. Journal logs are being posted several times a week, Dennis keeps a running total of game scores during rounds, and we are constantly updating Arsenal photos. If you havent visited JeffCarterbowling.com, please feel free to stop by. I make myself very accessible to all of you out there and if anybody needs anything, i'm happy to help in any way that i can. Bowling has given me a lot over the course of my career, and my goal is to give back as much as i possibly can

Thanks for your time

Nick, this isnt about branding. This is something that is very serious to me. I'm trying to reach as many people as i can, possibly raising some significant money for charity. The best way to do that is to post in the most popular forums. I apologize if i'm intruding on anybodys "turf", but i also help people with equipment questions of all kinds.

How is this trolling ??? Trust me this isnt some meaningless "which ball should i buy next" post. This is something for all bowling fans, all ages and talent levels. I spend a great deal of my time helping and supporting the members of this forum. Maybe you could cut me a little slack ?

Jeff, I think it's great what your doing with the charity and the information you provide on your website.  I'm only throwing Brunswick stuff right now but like to keep an eye on everything else out there and you provide great info on Storm's products.  They have alot of balls I would like to try if money were no object, but I try to simplify things by sticking with one company.  Especially when I have doing so well with the Big B.  I've still thought about making the trip up to Springfield for one of your training sessions, but now that your going to be out on tour all the time, you are going to be hard to catch up with.  I'll be checking out your site to look into the charity items some more.  Best of Luck to you!

Jeff, I think it is very great doing what you can for cancer research. My mom has been fighting cancer on and off for over 8 years now. So far she is a survivor but for how long I do not know. I think it is great that you are speaking up in all of the forums.
