Title: No more Brunswick Mini Eliminator VIDS
Post by: BrunsNick on February 27, 2007, 06:30:08 AM: Got a letter yesterday from Pinnacle Events saying that due to lack of entries, there will not be a July Mini Eliminator.

I sure hope that half of the people that get in doubles don't wise up in my leagues !

Being a donator doesn't necessarily mean you're dumb or must forever remain dumb. I wised up and stopped donating to the Salas Scholarship Fund two years ago.

So go figure basically the last actual Mini-Eliminator and the women sweep the events!! Very nice.. First and last 2 women to win something to do with the mini-eliminator!

Hibernation? Just because I'm not a donator anymore doesn't mean I can't read, monitor, or participate in this forum. It may be that I'm here more often than you are.

Oh brother. Is it snow, sand or something else that starts with "S" that's starting to get deep here? The only thing you'll miss from me is my donator status. Just like the mega$ tournaments. All those "professional amateurs" laugh at us fish and wonder what the heck we're doing at the Mini, TAT, or Roller trying to get a sniff of their green...Then lament that said tournament is being canceled due to lack of participation. It's us, the donators, that keep these tournaments afloat. Without us, you've got...well, a canceled Mini.

Those who want to come out here to vegas, with the thought of I can compete for that money! Someone has to win it right?! Well while your at you have a nice vacation in Vegas as well. So every tournament will have the little fish and the sharks! There are times that the little fish do make a good chunk of change at the tournaments! There are even times when they win!

The worst that happened to the mini was having and open division and then having Tyler Jensen (mind you nothing against him, a good friend of mine) win the tournament from the open division! That just made everyone go hmmm... who is always going to have the best chance at that money if there is an open division?? The answer should be a no brainer!

Personally, I met some great people who have become lifelong friends from all over the world..........male and female.

There were some great stories that happened during the times we were out there. Some stories shouldn't be repeated, but we have our memories for blackmail purposes.

I won't miss having to spend 2 weeks every 6 months in Vegas, but I will miss the people and the hospitality of the staff at the Orleans Bowling Center. Mike Monyak, Bobbie McVey, Darryl Smith and the rest of the staff are fantastic.

I think I can safely say on behalf of all of us at Brunswick, THANK YOU to the players that participated in the Brunwick Mini-Eliminator over the past few years.
