Okay, do you agree:
Best B'wick in 04:
Zone Classic
Best B'wick in 03:
Inferno
So, the dilemma begins: replace my OI with an Absolute or ZC? Both are designed to be more angular than the OI, correct?
Current Arsenal:
SCB
Werewolf
Inferno
DZ 3
XXXL
Still waiting on my replacement PG. The more bang for the buck, IMO would be the ZC. What does the Brunswick Nation think?

IMO Zone Classic is smoother than the Original Inferno and blends the pattern a little better. It does read quicker though and might be a tad more aggressive/earlier.

Go with the zone. The absolute is NOT a replacement, it is supposed to be stronger. It is supposed to fit in an arsenal with the original and ultimate, going inbetween. And besides, the zone is cheaper.

Reread my previous post about the Absolute and Inferno. BrunsRich or bob said the Absolute could be used as a replacement with the same surface prep. When I ask questions forget about surface prep, I usually don't stay with box finish, too hard to duplicate.

OH CRAP sorry andrew, i didn't even notice it was you writing this. I thought it was the typical new bowler who doesn't know layouts or surface changes whose questions i normally answer. WHoops, sorry about that.
Well in that case yeah, go with the absolute. you can adjust the surface to what you need.

Thanks BrunsRicH, how close would the ZC be to the OI?
Andy, I forgive you...Don't let it happen again....lol.

Ric, okay.....
This is the layout..4 1/2 by 3 1/2, pin above ring, PAP is 5 1/2 right, 1/2 up, weight hole 9" from center of grip, 1/4 positive side weight.
If my OI was asymetrical, then I am guess the PSA would be around 1 1/2" right of thumb.

BTW, I want a Punisher too but don't see a place in the arsenal for it.

Let me ask you something. Is there any reason you want to replace the OI? Or do you just want something new, or is it dead, or what?

Well, the fingers and thumb have been plugged three times, the pin is cracked, there was lane damage that was plugged and repair(nowhere near the track though). It needs to be sold/given away and replaced.

Bah that's nothing. Why don't you just replace it with another OI?

The Nemesis in our area( eastern canada) is hugh as a great vaule, because the SmashR was a massive seller. Here in our shop so far, the zone classic, and nemesis have been the best in 04' in 03' it was the Original Inferno and the SmashR.
Rich, which exactly was the highest selling ball in 04' for the different lines?

I solved my problem today. I decided to go with the Zone Classic instead of the Absolute. It should be here on Tuesday or Wednesday, I will post an update when it gets here.
