Old Brunswick core???
« on: September 26, 2013, 05:36:24 PM »
Is this the same core used in the BVP Wizard, Punisher, along with a few other Brunswick/Revolution balls of the time?

Always curious about that.

The shape is similar but not identical.

The numbers are similar but not identical. With all the dynamic cores created/invented for all these balls since around 1994, it's not surrising that many are of similar shape and numbers. Look at all the variations of the one they call a "light bulb".

In this one, the RG is the high RG, not the low RG.

Lane Masters sourced their cores from someone overseas at that time. I assume Tony is using the same source for the Big Bang SE as LM used for some of theirs, but I could be wrong.

I'm noticing the SE looks different from the regular. As much as stuff gets recycled seeing that stood out. Just like seeing some of the old columbia cores like in the alter ego used in the Jet stuff.

Understood.
Not surprising about the Jet ball as 900G is making them and they have access to the old Columbia cores. I guess Ebo INt'l's buyout of Columbia didn't include the old cores.

So is the new Jet a viable alternative, in today's bowling environment?
