Oldies/classic in our shop. . .
« on: August 23, 2006, 03:27:51 AM »
Went to drill up my 2nd Radical yesterday at the shop. . .
They cleaned out there closet and found some serious oldies in there. . .
(I dont know the exact names, so i will give descriptions)

-Rhino Pro Gold
-Forest Green Quantum
-Teal Rhino T2 Pro
-a light purple looking Rhino.
-a brownish colored zone, didnt get a real good look.

All in the Original boxes and everything. Crazy. . .
They had a couple other OLD rhinos, but I didnt get a chance to check em out. They also had some really old columbias. . .

Its hard to play with an inferno and not get burned. Last time I threw my inferno, the opposing bowler definitely got burned.

Since I only throw Infernos, just call me the Flamethrower.

You should offer $75 per ball and then list them on eBay starting at $100...  I know NIB 15lb gold rhinos, T2's, Purple's, etc routinely sell for $150+.  Thats quite a nice find!  I would guess that to be the Amber zone (either solid or pearl)...

I'd also guess that it is an Amber Zone - the first ball to bear that Brunswick brand mark. Cool, a classic and real collector's item.

I am also quite puzzled what my club's pro shop proprietor reveals from time to time - recently he drilled up a NIB purple Quantum (I am not sure if it is really a Purple Quantum - it is dark violet and supposed to have PK17) for a newbie, and this old stuff seems to pour from endless cellars.

"My" pro shop also bears old stuff - mostly last single balls that did not sell when the ball were listed. That's where I got my NIB black Pure Hammer got from, and there are, for example a NIB Red/Black Monster and several Intense Infernos.

Like I said, I am not sure exactly what they are.
I will stop by the shop early next week and get a list of all of them.

ALSO TO ALL OF THOSE WHO I PMED,

I AM NOT SURE IF MY BOSS WANTS TO SELL THESE OVER THE INTERNET BECAUSE OF THE HASSLE OF SHIPPING TO EVERYONE. HE USUALLY JUST DOES PICK-UPS ONLY.

I WILL SEE WHAT HE THINKS IF A BUNCH OF THESE WANT TO BE BOUGHT.
I CANNOT GUARANTEE HE WILL SELL THEM TO YOU ALL THOUGH. I DONT OWN THEM NOW, HE DOES. I DONT RUN THE PRO SHOP, HE DOES.

Just a little heads up to all of you who inquired. I will get back to all about this matter.

Thanks,
Chrispy
