Its not completely true really. But close!

The Violet is a ball that goes the longest before hooking. Say 44' before hooking, uses more of an arch for his hook action.

The navy is the Zone ProActive mid ball, 40' before hooking. Little more of an aggressive arch then snap.

The Azure is the biggest hooking ball of all 3, 36' with a stronger hook shape.

I'd go with the first description over the previous...  I don't think I could accurately pick out 40' or 44' down the lane when standing at the foul line (or probably not even 36') and I doubt I could make the balls hook at those specified distances...  I think the message here (in general terms) is good though...  basically they produce three different relative lengths with essentially the same reaction shape.

They all used (I believe) an extremely hard ceramic based particle in the coverstock.  The surfaces where nearly impossible to adjust (without Trizact pads).

I have to say that Violet Prozone was my second greatest ball ever for me!

Fantastic.  I did great with it on 35 foot shots with a lot of oil but dry outside and I did great on heavy oil when pointing.

One day I felt I shot 300 300 with it but the score sheet showed 4 wobbly ringing 7s 2 in each game.

On certain conditions it would not miss the pocket...all day!  Traded it and subsequent buyer drilled a mirror image for the right said same thing.  Pounded the pocket...carried everything light and then flush would leave some ringing 10s.

The core in the thing I believe was in the Impact Zone and Battle Zone bullet.

All matched up with my roll perfectly...would love to see out again!

They tweaked the coverstock on each to gain more length and whatnot, but the first reply was pretty funny and also close to true as well LOL

Anyway, the Teal (midrange) was pretty popular around here at the time. I remember throwing the Azure and some people were calling it the next big thing. It was merely OK in my hands.

Not like you...

A great ball though!

REgards,

PS also the Azure could really handle the different oil of the times...especially  the heavier oil patterns with decent backend and lefthanders seemed to like it!
Righthanders...not so much....just saw a high speed lefty lovin his last week!
