Bruiser is a pretty good medium oil condition ball. Since you have a longer pin, I'd just stick the pin over the ring finger or out to the right a little bit (with CG in grip center). No finger-grips has different results for everyone. Some people get less revs. Others, like me, have a much cleaner release and therefore get more revs. It's really just preference. For tape, you can really put it where you want. White is rougher than black (more grip), so typically it's put on the front so you can grip it better, and black in back so you slide out more easily.
