Ball Question-returning to the game
« on: February 09, 2008, 06:10:50 AM »
I have been away from the game about 6 years. The last balls I threw were the Rhino Teal and the Red Crush. Rhino Teal was my favorite ball ever. Loved it. I am a lefty, medium speed and rotations. Last league average was 208. I have been away so long lost touch with equipment innovations. I would greatly appreciate any advice on balls to consider as the ones mentioned above have been "retired". Thanks.

Almost anything in the BVP series would be good as well. Still on the lower end of the price scale.

If you loved the teal rhino, chances are you might well like the new avalanche solid.

Back when the teal was popular, they also came out with the rhino T2, which was the same ball except that the core was inverted ( upside-down ) when compared to the regular teal rhino.  The coverstock was powerkoil 18.

The new avalanche solid has the powerkoil 18 coverstock and a weightblock very reminiscent of the rhino T2.

Here is a link to all three so you can compare them for yourself.

What is with your attacks towards Brunswick? Did you not see another post in the Storm forum about someone having Storm balls cracking? Every ball company has problems from time to time. Just because Brunswicks has a lot happening right now people seem to enjoy jumping all over them because they moved to Mexico.

But then why did you not point out the post for the Storm ball that is cracking? Let's play fair then. I have been around bowling my whole life. I have seen balls from every company crack. I have seen problems with every company. The "straw" thing is something new that I have never heard of. I would really love to hear what RicO or someone else from Brunswick would have to say on it. We don't know what the purpose of those are for sure. Verbs has stated some thoughts about it. I think that people expect so much from Brunswick since the move to Mexico that ANY flaw that happens they jump and slam Brunswick for quality problems. Just my thoughts.

I wonder why they are always in damage control. Look at the way you instantly posted links to Brunswick balls that are cracking. Why could you not just answer what balls you thought would be good for him? Instead you jump in and instantly slam Brunswick. That's all I am getting at.  If the board would actually allow the Brunswick employees to come in and answer the questions instead of jumping down their throats all the time they would be able to give a logical answer instead of defending. I give the Brunswick employees credit for coming in here and putting up with this.

Did I once say there is not any quality problems? No I did not. I am just smart enough to know that it happens and the experts WILL take care of it. As for you truth you think you are always right and that all others are wrong. So I will be the smart one and say good bye on this topic.
