Title: original danger zone
Post by: jeffbassingfool on January 15, 2008, 02:40:51 PM
i am breaking out some of my old bowling balls and going to resurface them. 1 of these is the brunswick original danger zone. here is my problem/question. i have a spinner and i was going to resurface this ball but i do not know what grit to resurface it to. only thing i can find on it is that the factory finish is polished. which doesnt help me. i can sand it down then polish it but i need to know what grit i should sand it down to, to get back as close to factory specs as possible. i am thinking about 800 grit but thats only a guess. anyone know the correct answer? or ill take guesses too lol
thanks
jeff

the danger zone came from the factory wetsanded 600 grit and then received a minute or two in the lustrekleen machine. you could use this method or have your pro shop apply brunswicks rough buff instead after the ball has been sanded.
