Original Inferno Maintainence
« on: June 15, 2005, 07:12:55 AM »
I just got a original Inferno last night and I was wondering what I should use on it to maintain it? I was thinking of Reacta Shine, because I already have it. Do you think that would be good?

i'm assuming this ball is used, right ? i would try and find out how many games are on it and go from there. if the ball has 100 or more games on it you owe it to yourself to have it resurfaced to original condition.  first, have the oil extracted from the ball with a revivor or rejuvinator machine that's found in many pro shops. then have it resurfaced---try to find a pro shop that has a haus-type machine to do the job. then have the ball brought back up to 400 grit and have it polished with brunswicks factory finish high gloss polish. this will make the ball almost brand new. make sure you clean your ball after everytime you use it, whether it's league, practice, or a tournament.

The ball is used and it has around 100 games on it. So you are saying that I should(in order)
1. Oil extracted
2. Resurfaced
3. 400 grit
4. Polished with Brunswick Factory Finish High gloss Polish

Also you said to clean the ball, what should I use? Alcohol?

Thanks

yes, that's the correct order to restore your inferno. a ball cleaner sold at pro shops works well but a mixture of simple green, alcohol, and water works great for me. i used it the entire time i had an inferno and it worked great.

simple green is a common degreaser/cleaner that is found almost anywhere.
