Brunswick made a bunch of different rubber balls over the years, and I'm just trying to figure out an approximate age for some.

I've got an all-black Mineralite, that I think I can date to the 1940s/1950s because of an ad, but I also wanted to see how old some of the mottled, blue/black or red/black Brunswick rubber balls are (you know, the ones you see in old houses). The blue/black one I believe is a "Starlight" (or something like that), while the red/black I think is a Mineralite.

Could anyone give me a basic breakdown of some of the history of really old Brunswick equipment?

My father used a Starlight blue/black ball back in the mid 1960s, when he bowled in his Knight of Columbus league. I subbed while I was in high school in that league. So we're talking 1962/3/4. Unfortunately that was a lifetime ago and I don't remember exactly when he bought it.

i believe the mineralite came out around 1911-1913. i think the black beauty was in production from the 1930's to the 1980's. there is a black beauty that belonged to babe ruth in the international bowling museum and hall of fame. this dates from the 1930's.
