Raging Particle hardness ???

I saw a the balls that did not pass for the usbc particle hardness test i have a chance to buy a new raging is this ball gonna pass if not im not gonna waist my money ???? any one ??

Supposedly the Super Carbide Bomb.  But the situation is still in progress.  It might have been the hardness rules (as you said, it seems weird since the rules aren't supposed to go into effect until January), it might've been the differential rule (part of the debate over whether the PSCB is a new ball or just a re-release of an older ball).

Sorry to drag this into the Brunswick forum, but boo hoo, so you can't throw a Super Carbide Bomb...it's not the end of bowling as we know it.  If you can shell out the extra loot for a Lane 1 ball, you surely can afford a new heavy oiler if it's that necessary.  If not, sand down another ball...this truly is a show of the Lane #1 folks over-reacting.

So if someone can afford one $250 ball, they can afford another?  That's really silly.  It's not like the only people buying SCBs are millionaires who find that kind of money in the seat cushions in their Porsches.  Ordinary people who feel like it's worth the money buy SCBs and for those folks (who are probably the overwhelming majority) putting out another $200+ for a heavy oil ball is out of the question.

It's not over-reacting.  It's seeing that the ball is ruled illegal with no cause given and when the ball was previously declared legal.  Ignore the Polished/Original SCB is-it-new-or-not issue.  Look at the fact that this ball was approved and now it's not and no explanation was given.  Had the USBS posted on their website WHY the banned balls are banned, people wouldn't be in such an uproar.  They'd still be upset about the reversal, but there'd be an explanation.

It's not like there are so many banned balls that it's too much to keep up with why they're banned.  And presumably there's someone who KNOWS why it was declared illegal and that person told some other person to add it to the website.  Since SOMEONE knows why it's banned, there's no good reason not to share that information.

ult inferno is a solid reactive not a particle any ways and it meets the diff rule its only 0.050 out of the 0.060 limit. The goliath is 0.044 i dont know about the particle hardness tho.

I have the SCB, while I am not a saw head, not being able to throw the ball will burn my butt.  No, I can't afford to shell out for another oiler....but then again I only paid 140 out the door for the SCB...

Back on topic:  You should have nothing to worry about with the raging.

i received an e-mail from tom tomaras of brunswick and he says every ball they currently make passes the new usbc hardness test.
