Original Inferno ... Still the best ball ever .

Tonight I went to the bowling alley, and found a nice medium light pair, oiled 35, with just a little burn.

First set 215, 247, 241
second set 245 300 247
That's right, shot me a nice 300, and the ball was sweet... 792 series

Afraid that the Absolute has sort of replaced it and replaced it well, as the AI seems to have all the original's great characteristics, but it's more versatile as well.

nice series. Just got my OI, drilled it the day i got it. next day went to High School tournament, shot 3rd highest game(257) and a 607 series.
I dont think i will ever get rid of this thing. . .

Its hard to play with an inferno and not get burned. Last time I threw my inferno, the opposing bowler definitely got burned.

I would say that the original was more versatile for the bowlers who have some hand, as the absolute is so strong on the backend.

for me the original inferno is only 2nd to the ultimate inferno.  DOnt get me wrong i like the absolute, but i think i need to get the lane made wider to use it

However i think with the inferno range they should stick with this weightblock, all the other have been pretty average in my opinion

I have owned an OI, UI and AI. Of the three, I still use the OI. I have sold both the UI and AI. It might be due to my style and lane conditions but the OI is the only one that did me any good. The UI hooked too much. The AI was inconsistent in the backends.

My Ultimate is drilled stronger than my OI. I start the night with the UI, but can always pull out the OI and shoot some nice sets. It's a great go to ball, very predictable, nice roll, and excellent carry. Still one of the top balls in my lineup. Seems like there is always a place for any ball in the Inferno line.

I bought my OI nearly three years ago when it was first released.
It is one of the most durable balls ever made. the ball has got to have
at least a thousand games on it, and its never been resurfaced.
