Here in the States, brunswick had three of them. One was a red pearl urethane, one was a teal pearl urethane, and the other was a sanded, solid black urethane.
If I remember right, the red and teal were almost identical except for the color, while the black was sanded to handle a bit more oil. They all had a simple, three piece pancake core in them, so label shifts were about all you could do to them.
They would be used mostly for lighter oil conditions or spares today, depending on the amount of oil and the length of the pattern. I had a teal and used it quite a bit on the short oil pattern they used to run at my hime house here in Texas.
