Tough time to get feedback, with everything shut down, but wondering if anyone else has had the same experience.  I drilled my phantom in late January, and noticed within  10 games that it lane polished a lot.  Normally this is  not a bad thing for me.  I have had several balls that I didnt like till they did lane polish.  However, the phantom tamed down  to the point of almost acting like a tame urethane.  Again, wouldnt mind it, except my purple hammer has out performed  it consistently.

I understand that many people would suggest simply hitting the surface regularly, but as fast as this ball polishes up for me I dont really like that option.  I never liked having to constantly sand urethane in the 80s , and this balll reacts for all the world like some of those aggressive balls from that era.

Most everyone is seeing the same thing with just about any new urethane.  Even Tour guys have mentioned they can only get a couple games in before the balls start to go away.  So they either punch up multiple pieces with the same layout so they can switch them out during qualifying blocks and/or re-hit the surface between blocks to keep the roll and reaction where it needs to be.  It is one of a few unfortunate things about having urethane. It would be a good thing to keep abralon pads in your bag and hit the surface by hand at the end of each league night or tournament block.

OK.  Last question.   Just what is the Savvy Hook coverstock.  Is it some kind of resin,  or a composite type of cover like we saw on the motiv tank, or the burgundy hammer from a couple of years ago.

Regular reactive resin. Phantom is Savy Hook Solid 2.0 and I have a Melee Cross which uses the original Savy Hook Solid. My Melee Cross lane shines pretty quick as well
