Pin size?
« on: February 27, 2008, 11:45:28 AM »
What is the reason for nickle size pins coming from Brunswick?  I got a Fury Pearl TE and the pin is huge, first time I have ever seen this.

I plan on drilling out the pin (pin in middle finger), anything I need to worry about with the larger pin?

thanks for any feedback.

probobly because they were originally fury pearls and they drilled the pin out to fill it in with orange

Oh no my friend I just got a power groove with the nickel sized pin, but perhaps it too used to be a fury. this ball hooks more than anything I have ever thrown. It out hooks my wrath sf by about 25-35 boards no lie, this thing is crazy!

Most of the bigger pins are in MoRich balls not Big B, I just got a twisted and its the small pin, what is it 1/4 inch?. They might have been a test batch with the bigger pins in their balls.

your power groove out hooks your wrath by 25 to 35 boards...listen to yourself...there are only 40 boards on the lane...so your power groove hooks almost the whole lane...i just dont see it, sorry man...unless you throw it like 10-12 mph with 500rpms...

haha i think its funny when people are like man this ball hooks this ball hooks then you take a look at their speed and its 12mph.  i was bowling with some of my friends i havent seen since graduating from high school and they dont go bowling hardly ever.  Anyway  they  have a speed zone i think it is or something and everytime they throw it they cant keep it anywhere near the pocket and i laugh and tell them to throw it faster and they say they cant.  maybe hit 14mph at the most and it still overhooks.  they tell me to throw it and bet it wont hit the pocket for me either, well i throw it and i throw it about 18.5 mph, which is my regular speed, and it hooks maybe a board or 2 and they are amazed at why it didnt hook.

my total inferno and awesome hook both have large pins.......the mammoth, twisted fury, power groove reactive, rampage, and fury all have "normal" sized pins.
