I'd like to really try something different than what I usually buy (2-3" pin, 2-3 oz TW). When I get something new, I usually get my equipment drilled by Lonce (Next Level ProShop). On my Ultimate Inferno the setup looks similar to, but not exact, like this:
..O.O.*
............
............9
............
...O......
O's being finger holes, * = the pin, 9 = a weight hole. because I track full roller, the ball would track left of the ring finger but over the thumb hole sometimes. To fix that problem, he drilled my Original Inferno something like this:
.........*
.......9
.........
.O.O..
.........
..O.....
the finger holes are drilled through the label, the pin is much further away from the fingers, with the weight hole placed underneath. With this, the ball tracks across the span (left of ring, right of thumb) without hitting any of the holes.
Not sure if any of your suggestions would change based on seeing this. From what I get so far, 2-3 pin/top is most universal.
