PK 2016 coverstock durability & complementary ball:
« on: June 05, 2016, 12:45:59 PM »
Hey, I'm curious to know those who have thrown the new Vintage Danger Zone for a while, how is the coverstock holding up? Is it as durable and relatively low maintenance as the old Danger Zone from 96?

My other question is what would be a good compliment to the Danger Zone & new Snap Lock? I'm currently rebuilding a small arsenal to take to leagues and local tournaments.

I guess all I need now is a hybrid and I've been looking at the Brunswick Ultimate Nirvana, Storm Lock, AMF Escape, Hammer Dark Legend, and the ole' Storm HyRoad.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance!!

I'd say it's pretty low maintenance.

I'd suggest something stronger than the Snap Lock like the Lock or Nirvana and also something weaker than the Danger Zone like a Rhino or Rack Attack Pearl

My Vintage Danger Zone is holding up fine, and I have over 50 games on it and is still going strong. With proper maintenance by cleaning it after every use, it should last a long time.

As for a complimentary hybrid cover, the Ultimate Nirvana would be a perfect choice. The Ultimate Nirvana has a good amount of length with a strong motion downlane compared to the original Nirvana. I haven't found a lane condition that the Ultimate Nirvana didn't work yet.
