what happens when the absolute checks up too early and the classic skids too far?

how about a light-medium load particle? (BVP Ambush or Raging Inferno)
how about a plastic spare?

to be perfectly honest with you... i would drill a strike zone pin above the bridge and the cg at about 4 o'clock if you can get a 3-4 pin...  hit it with 2000 grit and throw a mild polish on it... thats a great ball for the transition from your AI to the CZ.  It has never let me down on any condition with any surface.

I would also consider picking up a Dry/R for your spares... for them burnt conditions

I'd throw in an Ambush and a Groove Dry/R, or, Track Dessert Heat. The Ambush will give you a smoother, more controllable arc through the dry and is a great inbetween ball to combat transition (carrydown). The Dessert Heat is stronger than the D/R in the backend but still manages to clear dried up heads effortlessly. When the lanes are fried the D/R shines.
