Please tell me how this Absolute Inferno will react
« on: May 02, 2007, 07:33:19 AM »
I just got my Absolute Inferno from UPS today, and I'm wondering how you think it will react from the way it is drilled? I took a pic of it. I throw about medium revs, 16.5mph. Here is the pic: http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l290/crusher267658/DSCN0878.jpg

This may sound kinda stupid. But what is the cg for Brunswick, the Bruswick logo? I'm not sure of this because this is the first Brunswick ball that I have ever had, so I don't know really anything about Bruswick equipment.

The CG on brunswick balls is just a small "dent" in the ball - looks like someone tapped it with a small screwdriver or something like that.  Your CG is probably somewhere in the 4 o clock range... maybe 3 to 4 inches or so from the pin.

It'll roll even and smooth. That's the way the ball is.
The layout is a simple Label Leverage drilling.

Mines a monster, with some solid aggressive backend. Very versatile. . .
Just giving you a little insight!

Thanks,

It depends on your hand, tilt, ball speed, rotation and the oil pattern and lane surface you bowl on.

For the average everything bowler (which most people aren't) it's drilled for a strong, flippy (with respect to the Absolute's designed-in reaction) reaction after some extra length.

Agreed. Length with a flippy reaction in the backend..

Inverted1 and crusher267658,

While I typed "flippy", I meant flippier. The reaction should be "flippier" than the designed in reaction of the Absolute, which, in general, is rather even. That drill may be flippier than the standard or average reactiong Absolute, but it still may not be Absolute.

Too much depends on all the factors that determine "flippiness" and evenness to say with finality what the bottom line is. Use it on too little oil and if it clears the heads well, it can flip, but then it was designed for medium and heavier oil, NOT light oil.
