Thanks Inverted 1 for the feedback. One more question, if AI is now in box finish and would like to sand it to 400 and polished. Can I just placed the ball on the spinner and proceed to sand it down or do I have to follow the re-con procedure of start sanding from rough then go down the way to the required grit and then polish it ? The Pro shop guys said must follow the re-con way, it is true? Thanks

Why, in heaven's name?
Unless it's tracked out, just sand it and polish.

We're getting too crazy over - sand all 6 sides for 37 minutes each, then use a white TUrkish grade cotton double looped, virgn terry cloth to apply a never before opened can of 3M 757 grit rubbing compund from Peoria plant #54 - just too wacko!

FYI I am not saying that you shouldn't do a good job or that you should do a quick & sloppy one. We just all seem to be making these procedures into rituals. A ritual is obssessive and can be almost religious. A procedure is just the right way to do things, keeping some felxibility in mind.
