The house I bowl in has increased the oil and I don't have a ball to handle the new pattern. There is always an out-of-bounds to the right of 10 and fairly heavy oil in the middle but now its even more. Anything that leaks to the right (past 10) is dead and will probably hit the 6 pin and anything up the middle will not move much at all. I have been standing on 16 to 22 and aiming at the 11 to 13 board. Had no problem with this until they added more oil. I have tried to move right and left by just can't get the ball to turnover.
Presently I am using an older Rhino Pro LE for the heavier shots, but it just won't turn like it should. Probably it's age, although I have kept it clean and had the oil removed recently. Other equipment includes an original Inferno, Absolute, Columbia Hyde (polished, Bully and Messenger Ti Pearl. All of these are better suited for medium conditions.
If it will help, I'm a senior bowler with good accuracy but slower speed (about 14-14.5 mph) and lower revs. Current average is 196 bowling in one league during the summer.
I am looking at a Strike Zone or Total Inferno. Which one of these do you think would be the best for an old guy bowling on the heavier oil patterns? I have also considered the Fury but it may be a little too strong.
Would appreciate any help as I am going to the pro shop tomorrow.
Thanks.
