Title: Polishing a Goliath
Post by: ibdabigdog on December 29, 2004, 10:56:01 PM
Has anyone done this and if so what were your results?  I'm looking for more backend reaction.  Thanks in advance for the input.

Anytime you shine a ball more than it's original finish you create more skid in the early part of the lane, thus creating more backend reaction or a sharper breakpoint due to energy being stored up longer. I've seen good results with the Goliath being smoothed to 1500 and then shined with a high gloss finish. It appears to clear the front like a reactive ball, but is not so jumpy in the dry, which is what you should see out of a particle ball.

Happy New Year Y'all,
